Privacy and Safeguarding Policy

This website is hosted on Wix.com, and as such your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. This data is stored on secure servers behind a firewall. As such, registering and logging in is done using a secure server (HTTPS/SSL), and any user information is stored in an encrypted database.

Wix.com is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce, regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States, and therefore adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles.

Anonymous Users

Visitors to this site have the option of completing the resilience questionnaire anonymously, without giving or transmitting any personal information.

Once a questionnaire has been completed by a non-signed in user, only the answers to the questions and resilience scores that are calculated are stored. This data is not identifiable to you in any way.

Registered Users

Registered users fall into three categories: Teachers (including tutors), Students, and individual users.

For student data, only their name and email used to login are stored. This will be alongside any questionnaire data that is completed by the individual student.

For teacher data, this is the same as above. Teachers can also complete the questionnaire if they wish, and this will be stored should they do so.

For individual users, only name and email address are stored.

Passwords for any user are not obtainable by myself, nor any other user of the site.

Passwords can only be reset by the individual who owns the account.

Accessing Data

Students only have access to their own data once logged in.

Teachers can access the data of any student in their school. Teachers have editing rights over student data such as which class the student should be in. Teachers who teach at more than one school will need to register using a separate email address for that school.

Only Site Administrators (currently myself) has rights to view all data stored on the site. This is to ensure that the site is able to run and that the pages work as intended.

Verifying Accounts

Teacher accounts must be registered using a school domain address, and are manually approved by myself once registered. This will be checked against data available online, or through contacting the individual concerned for further clarification if deemed necessary.

Student accounts are only created when a verified teacher of a school sends a unique class link to students whom they wish to sign up. It is therefore the responsibility of the teacher to ensure that the class link is used appropriately and correctly.
Student accounts cannot be later added to a school under any circumstances.

Any personal accounts do not require verification - and can be used immediately once registered.

Editing or Deleting Data

Any user can email resiliencemaths@gmail.com to have their data edited or removed. The request must come from the email address used to register on the site.

Any user who has not used the site for more than 2 years will automatically be removed.
